About the Operations & Personnel Practice Group
The Operations & Personnel Practice Group provides policy and legal advice to the
Secretary of the Army, the Army Secretariat, and Headquarters, Department of the Army on a wide variety of issues. Operational issues include military support to civilian authorities during special events of national significance (such as Olympic Games and Inaugurals); civilian agencies responding to domestic disasters and civil disturbances; and civilian law enforcement officials fighting drugs and weapons of mass destruction.
Freedom of Information Act
Persons interested in filing a Freedom of Information Act request should submit the request to the Agency that possibly holds the requested record, or at the Department of the Army’s Freedom of Information Act office website. If you desire to appeal a previous denial of a Freedom of Information Act request, the appeal should be completed in accordance with the instructions provided in the initial denial letter.
